So I was finally able to upload my blog from yesterday today. I had a very weak signal last night when I was trying to post, so today I worked hard to get it done.
We made it to Los Lunas, New Mexico. As we were driving Miss C said something to the effect of "all the street names are spanish". What gave it away? The name of the state being New MEXICO?? Hahahaha!!! Sometimes I wonder what is in their head!
Anyway, where do I start? We drove through most of the night, stopping at a Kingdom Hall and getting a few hours of rest. That was really nice. Later I told Jay that we should have left a note for them saying Hi from NC. But it was like 3 am when we were there, so no one was thinking.
We went through Arkansas, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. (not in that order) It wasn't a bad drive, but both Jay and my feet are swollen from just sitting for so long. Funny how that works. You don't do anything and you swell up, even from drinking water. We did have a soda with lunch, but that was about all.
We made it safe and sound at about 7pm here in New Mexico. Jamin and Nakia had some food waiting for us and that was fantastic. We then just sat and watched a movie, just kind of a nice down time before we crash and sleep for many hours! At least that is my hope.
At home it is nearly 1 am, here, however it is only 11. Gotta love that time change.
