WE DID IT!!!!

Last day of the month, but the Girls made their hours!! yAy! With an hour or 2 to spare! I had no doubt! We did go in service with our old congregation this morning and it was a lot of fun.  I miss them a lot! They miss us too!!!

Miss J has her talk tonight and I just got the call that her house holder isn't feeling well, so I get to fill in.  This makes 2 weeks in a row that I get to be a house holder.  I don't mind, especially since it's for my girls!

So funny thing today.  I am getting out of the car and look at the coffee cups in my cup holder.  They look like they are smiling!! Drink me! Drink me!!! haha.
for your viewing pleasure
Here they are. Don't they just look so happy?!   It made me smile this morning!

Memorial is almost here. I love the feature B12 in the Bible with the timeline of Jesus last days.  We as a family are taking a few minutes to discuss it and read it.  Bringing us closer to Jesus and ultimately to Jehovah. It's wonderful though.

The girls are super excited about tomorrow because I get to go work for my friend and that means that the girls get to visit their friends.  It is coming at a good time too because the girls have finished their school year and need something to do!!  I'm about to start throwing some sort of school work their way! HA! That'll teach them to be "bored"!

I suppose there isn't much else for today.  Have a wonderful day!

SUNDAY RACE DAY!!

Actually yesterday was quite fun.  We had to leave quite early to get there and get decent parking.  We got not too bad parking... on a hill but apparently much better than what Jay had last time!  We got there about 8:30 I think, set up the grill and Jay made hamburgers and hot dogs.  Odd breakfast I will admit, and I will make changes to that at any other race I attend.  Hamburgers and I don't get along great...

Then we warmed up by the grill for a while, took to the path and had some fun!

It was a pretty cold day.  I shouldn't complain, but it was COLD! For a while we had the sun, but when it went away and that wind picked up... wooooo.... brrrrrrrr....

It was a good day...we were all really happy to be there and having a good day with family is what it is all about.  We try not to miss our Sunday meetings, and this was an unplanned event.  We did do our memorial reading late, and we were all tired, but something we cannot forget!  Jesus gave us so much and it's the least we can do!

Tomorrow is a new day, I will be going in service with my old congregation since I have to go out to work tomorrow, then Miss J has her talk on Balaam tomorrow night.  She's so excited because she loves giving talks!

Being that this is my first month of not pioneering, let me tell you how it feels... I fell into a depression.  I had been regular pioneering but having to stop I thought was going to be okay.  It crushed me.  I'm not over it.  I do not want to ever have to feel like this again, so when my health gets manageable, I hope to get back on the list and never come off again.  This coming from a person who said she would never pioneer!! HAHA! How Jehovah's spirit changes peoples lives! Now if only my body would hold up it's end of the bargain!

Gum, in the dryer?!?!

What? Did I just say "Gum, in the dryer?" Why yes,  yes I did..
There are pros and cons to having young ones do their own laundry.  One pro is that you have more free time, usually.

Tonight had its own con... I am not complaining because I'm sure when I was a child I did things like this as well.  I have just chosen to forget! I'm good at that part.  I pretend I was the most amazing child any parent could dream to have,  because face it,  being the youngest I had to try to follow my sister's foot steps, or so I thought.  Now being 36 I realize I was an awesome child (I know my sister is reading this, Hehehe).

So anyway,  on to my night. We were having a fun filled evening of grilled chicken, grits, and eggs for dinner, while watching "Return of the Jedi". We were almost done with the movie, and remember from my last post that we are going to the race tomorrow, and I realized the dryer wasn't going.  It has my daughter's sneakers, sweater, pants and socks in it. . I go to check and... Dun dun dun... Gum.  All.  Over.  The.  Inside!

Oh man,  well I couldn't get angry (it was almost the end of the day for one thing) so I go to clean it up. Thankfully I was smart enough to go grab the oil in my cupboard and a rag.  It took only about 15 min.  It wasn't bad.  Just another experiance to share.  I wish I had taken a picture but once I was going I didn't want to stop, oh, and I had oil all over my hands!

On to my next adventure, what ever that may be!

Hot, cold, hot , cold, hot

That seems to be the way the weather works these days.  It can't just be "normal".  It was a nice sunny day to go on field service though. . I didn't go, the rest of the family did.

Tomorrow we are going to the nascar race since our camping plans were disrupted.  It's been quite a while since I've gone.  The girls love the race, mainly the crashes. Crazy children! . Hopefully we will get some good pictures!

The memorial campaign is winding down,  one more week roughly. . The girls need just an hour more and they will have their time for the month!  I'm so proud of them.

I guess I might have more entertaining news later.

Not this again... Or maybe, What's up with this weather?

What is there to do or say? Today was such a crazy weather day.  We made it in service today, it started out great.  Well, maybe not great, but okay anyway.  So about half way through the morning the rain poured down, POURED down on us.  We didn't quit though, we did manage to stay out until 12:30.  It is closing down on the Memorial campaign so we wanted to get as many people as possible.  Sadly we were only able to get a few.  BUT one return visit we did get to turned out good.  That kind of thing makes the rest of the day much better!

Camping seems to be off for this time.  I was able to make arrangements for next month instead.  Lets hope that the weather will hold up for that one! So I have NO idea what plans we can have now.  Ah well, what can one do?  Just keep going and watch the rain from in the house!

The girls have almost got their time in for the month.  They have just a few hours to go! I love that they love field service and Jehovah enough to pioneer a few months each year! I hope to keep doing the same with them for many years to come.  Hopefully we can Regular pioneer together!  Enjoy pioneer school together!! That would be awesome!

Here is a picture from our last beach visit with friends!  The family we went with did this!!! So cool!!

Craziest weather ever

Have you noticed the weather strange in your area? We are supposed to go camping tomorrow.  Today was in the 70's while tomorrow will be high of 50s. That'll take place early in the day as well.
We are still going, just have to brave the cooler temps.  And of course, there is the dog.  She's coming as well.  I'm sure she'll Snuggle with the children at night.

I suppose there might be updates tomorrow.  Until then... Good night!

Life in the Jones home.

Oh yes, I love my family, I love my life.  It's crazy, hectic, loud and very busy! With 2 children, 1 dog, 1 lizard, 1 ferret, 1 fish, my husband and I, there is never a dull moment, and rarely a quite one!

So who are we?  Just your typical family of 4.  We enjoy spending time together, going camping, cooking, traveling and so much more.  Our day to day lives are like that of millions, we are nothing special, but to us, we are everything!  I get to stay home with my children, while they are being homeschooled, my dear husband works very hard so that I am able to do this!  I appreciate him very much.  We are also very active in the ministry, talking to people on a very regular basis.  We are those witnesses you see on the street with a cart!

Our Cart.
How do we juggle everything?  Honestly it isn't always easy.  I have my fair share of health issues, the children are still young, the things around the house have to be cared for, studies have to go on, but really, when relying on Jehovah, everything is okay!

I get to go "Cart Witnessing" once a week, My husband gets to go 2-3 times but he works in the area and is able to go out and do that more.  My children are both auxiliary pioneers, so getting out with them is always fun.  My husband is a regular pioneer and I just came off the list to help my girls and because of health issues... I plan to get back on as soon as I can (I have to wait 6 months at least).

We are going to be embarking on so much more in the coming months.  I know that this sumer we are going to be doing park witnessing, more cart witnessing, and going to be traveling cross country.  Its going to be busy and fun.  I hope you enjoy this peek into our family and can be encouraged!
