Head Slap!

So I realized it had been quite a while since I have been here.  Sorry guys and gals! I have been working on "hopefully" getting a small website going so that maybe someone will buy something.  MAYBE!! If not, it is still fun.

Nothing really has been going on though.  It is the start of a new service year tomorrow! Yay! I get to start right and be out on the street with a cart! It's a great way to witness, and now with school back in session, all the college kids are on the streets, so they get to see what we have, and this month with the Watchtower being about Jehovah's Witnesses, I hope we are able to get some good conversations.

We are also getting ready for our road trip.  We also have the congregation picnic this month.  Jay is planning on cooking a whole pig! mmmm!! That means PULLED PORK!!! Oh, I need me a good  pulled pork sandwich!!

I'm really hoping you all have a wonderful start to the service year and a fantastic week.  No pictures this time since I deleted them all off my phone so that I'll have room for all my new pictures!

Have a great day!

Shells, Dolphins and Sharks

By the title I suppose you can guess we went to the beach today.  Living just 2 hours away does make it easy.  This year has been kind of crazy with all the shark attacks in the area.  So yes, I was apprehensive when it came to going, but it was a great day.

So we had fun jumping waves and then Jay and I sat out for a little while the girls continued enjoying.  We were watching this man teach surfing to another man.  Pretty neat the way he taught. So I decided to go in a little with Miss C since she was looking at baby fish... (baby sharks??) While videoing (or trying to) I see this black thing out of the water.... a fin... It was a small pod of dolphins.  You could tell there was more than 1 by the fins.  Really interesting! We watched for a while.

THEN...not too far from where we were, we see brown fins... hmmmm.. SHARK!!!!! Yes, there was a shark in the shallows.  We were about calf depth and it was not to far from us.  Yes, I had my camera, so I was able to snap a quick picture.  The guy giving the surfing lessons said that it was a nurse shark.  I had never seen one in the wild before and it was, quite frankly, wild seeing it. Still scary at first.  So we were sitting out for about 30 minutes before we went back in and had fun again.

All in all, it was a very good day.  I told Jay that Jehovah gave us something wonderful to see today!!
 And now for some pictures....
